3D experience.

Hi people,

how are you? Maybe enjoying the sunny days of your holidays, lucky you if that's the case. I imagine that's why you don't come so often around here. Well, let me tell you that's not an excuse for not coming to the blog from time to time, hehe.

We are pretty busy these days finishing everything around here, because our own holidays are nearer each day, so we want to leave everything ready before we leave. Even more when we have had friends here for several days, Ernesto and Silvia, who have been here at home with us, sweeeet!!! That way we spent these days before holidays with them around the city, and then we will leave to Spain. Because we also want our part of sunshine, beach and Spanish weather this summer, of course.

But of course we did many things around here with Ernesto and Silvia that I will tell you in the next post. We had a party on Saturday with the Italian guy, Daniel, and friends. It was a food party, so everyone cooked something and shared it. I love those parties, because I like so much trying different food hehe. I will tell you how was it next week, Ernesto and Silvia liked the idea a lot. Rest assured you will have pictures and everything from the party, I promise.

The other interesting thing we did these days was going to the cinema in Dublin. We don't go to the cinema too often here because it is expensive and these days (let's say for the last four years hehe) I don't find good movies I would like to watch. As an example, two weeks ago I went with Kai and Doug to watch Transformers (guys movie with explosions, a nice girl and those things... you know) and after the movie I was so screwed up. Everything in the movie was just horrible, no interesting story, no good transformers action, just explosions all around and shit... it was really a bad movie.

I never watch that kind of American movies, and will try not to go again in a long time, but I was so naive to think that maybe this one was different... how stupid I am every time I go to an American movie thinking that. I have to remember it: never again, never again...

Of course my problem with the cinema is that I don't choose the right ones, and prefer to watch the hugely advertised ones, that normally come from Hollywood and spend the most of the money in, of course, advertisement.

And I imagine that this time it wasn't different, Laura and me went to watch Ice Age III. I actually like a lot to go and watch movies in English, I got to a point where I understand the most of them, and it is more natural to see the movies in its original language. I never noticed that because obviously I always watched movies in Spanish, but I am starting to even prefer original versions.

The movie was OK, with a simple story but with very funny parts, where you laugh a lot with the famous squirrel from previous movies. We noticed that EVERY american movie these days has at least some lines of the storyboard in Spanish. They say at least a couple of sentences in our language and it was the same for this movie. It is very strange to listen to clear Spanish while watching a movie in an English cinema, but Hollywood knows Spanish are becoming more and more important in the world.

About the 3D experience, it is really natural and nice, you truly see the deepness of the image, as you see 3D in real life, and with effects that make things come near you, so it is truly surprising. A very good improvement for the cinema and something that may make me go and watch movies again, because it gives movies a important boost in reality, and that is what I expect when I spend 8€, in Spain it is slightly cheaper, but that's the price here, BIG.

3D is nice, it adds to the experience and I imagine it is going to be better used in the new movies, so I really look forward to see many more movies in 3D. It is amazing how good movies look and how 3D is done, although it doesn't look as a strange feeling or makes you feel dizzy, I would say it is really natural.

The goggles make you look soooooooo funny.

That's all at the moment, in the next post I will tell you about Ernesto and Silvia's visit which was really good and we really enjoyed it.

Cheers!
